“ Luca Bello is a neurologist with an interest in clinical and translational research about dystrophinopathies and other muscular dystrophies and neuromuscular disorders. He trained clinically with Corrado Angelini and Elena Pegoraro at the University of Padova, and completed his PhD in Neuroscience with Elena Pegoraro and Eric P. Hoffman at the University of Padova and Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. His main research topics cover genetic modifiers, genotype-phenotype correlations, outcome measures, and natural history in dystrophinopathies and limb-girdle muscular dystrophies. In these fields, he has collaborated with several international research consortia (such as CINRG, Jain Foundation) and published several articles as lead author or co-author on peer-reviewed journals. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Department of Neurosciences, DNS, University of Padova, and attending Neurologist at Padova University Hospital.”
