Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Maringá (1982), Master's in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1987), Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1994) and post-doctorate at the University of Porto (1999) . He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and a professor on the permanent staff of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at UFSC.She was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2015, 2016), member of the Advisory Committee of CNPq in the area of #8203;#8203;Chemical Engineering CA-EQ (2012-2015) and coordinator of CA-EQ in the period 2016-2018. He is a member of the evaluation committees of FAPERJ and FAPESP agencies, and of the Management Committee of INCT MIDAS/CNPq.He has experience in the field of Chemical Engineering, with an emphasis on Tailings Treatment and Use and application of nanotechnological processes, acting on the following topics: effluent treatment, adsorption, advanced oxidative processes and heterogeneous catalysis.
